In lieu of a 2021 in person festival we will be holding a virtual short film showcase on September 18th and 19th on our YouTube page.
We will post short horror films to our YouTube channel for the weekend with links to each filmmakers site or social media, staggering posts throughout the day, and we’d give people a chance to see the films over that weekend.
Come midnight that Monday we’d have everything pulled down and removed from the channel to retain the feeling that this is a ‘festival’ with all these films in one place and to make sure it’s clear we are not retaining any sort of right or benefit from the films.
This is strictly a showcase but that means that any past films you’ve made or we’ve shown of yours are welcome as we really just want to offer something free and fun for folks that miss our festival.
If it works out we’d love to premiere a new movie on Friday that we’d just put up for that night but we’ll see if that comes to pass.

Flint Fright FilmFest is our annual one day celebration of short horror from around the world. We showcase films that run from one minute to thirty-five minutes that run from all facets of horror to sci-fi and even dark dramas.
Our festival awards six prizes which are –
The Grand Ghoul Award – our best in show award.
The Chaney Award – our award for best writing.
The Bradbury Award – this award goes to the short film with the best writing.
We also give three memorial awards during the festival.
The Marilyn Ringler Memorial Award – given to the scariest all around film.
The Jon Cockerill Memorial Award – given to the best student film.
The Charles Shaver Memorial Award – given to the best Michigan made film.
